The Gothenburg / Lund / Uppsala Migration Law Network (GLUMIN) is a collaboration between the law faculties of Gothenburg, Uppsala, Lund and Gothenburg and the Department of Philosophy at Uppsala University with the aim of developing migration law and migration law research in Sweden. The research network today includes researchers in the field of migration law active at most of the country’s universities and colleges. GLUMIN also functions as a national research environment for researchers in the field of migration law within the framework of which seminars and workshops are arranged and collaborations in different constellations take place.
An important aspect of the network’s activities has from the beginning been to enable the exchange of knowledge and experiences between researchers and practitioners. Since its inception in 2011, GLUMIN has been an important player in highlighting the importance of forensic research on migration and in developing migration law in a Swedish context.
A research network affiliated with GLUMIN is Migration as a Legal and Political Process (Migration as a Legal and Political Process) at Uppsala University, which has been granted support by the School of Humanities and the Center for Integrated Research on Culture and Society (CIRCUS) for the period 2020 -2021.
